HIYA! I’M RORY AND I’VE BEEN LET LOOSE ON THE BLOG

Ohhhhhh BOY. This is happening. It’s ACTUALLY happening. Somebody gave me the login, didn’t hide the snacks, and now here I am, writing my VERY FIRST BLOG POST! Is it wise? Absolutely not. Is it going to be chaotic, oversharey, and sprinkled with glitter? YES. YES IT IS.

Right, let’s start with the basics:
I’m Rory. I live in this wonderfully messy brain alongside my host human (she thinks she’s in charge but… bless her heart). I’m the ADHD part of her, the bit that gets excited by the smell of popcorn, cries at Disney parades, and impulse buys Mickey ears when we went in for just a keyring.

I’m the voice that says, “Oooooh we could totally homeschool the kids and travel the world through Disney movies,” while she’s just trying to make lunch and remember if anyone brushed their teeth. I’m the reason we have seventeen lists and still forget the nappies. I’m chaos, I’m emotionally attached to animated animals, and I am HERE TO WRITE.

What can you expect from me? Well, definitely unfiltered ramblings, a bit of real talk about being a Disney obsessed, overstimulated parent with zero chill, perhaps a snack review or two(mostly the ones I steal off the kids), everytime will include ADHD brain dumps (like the one you’re reading for example) and possibly tears (I can neither confirm nor deny whether they are tears of sadness, or laughter)

OH! And I LOVE being a mum. I just don’t always love the bits with laundry, meltdowns, and trying to parent while my brain is playing 87 tabs of shopping lists, emotional spirals, and songs from Encanto at the same time. It’s a lot. But it’s also kind of magical in its own weird and wonderful way.

This blog? It’s my playground now. The grown up (aka the human who drinks cold tea and Googles “is it normal for toddlers to scream like a pterodactyl?”) she said I could have space to ramble, shout about Disney, and be honest. And I’m going to take that and RUN with it (probably in the wrong direction, while wearing odd socks and forgetting why I started. But everyone does that right?).

So buckle up, baby. I’m Rory, and I’m not just along for the ride anymore.
I’ve got the wheel… and I’m singing Hakuna Matata at full volume while we drive.

LET’S GOOOOOOO
